There is no hope at all for any peace
In a war which we all know can never cease.
Just carry on aimlessly, waiting to die.
So right now I find...

Suppose there was a brand new global war
And what you feared was what you saw.
Nobody could tell you what to do
To ensure you'd see the next day through.
Even the things you like to eat
Would be burnt up by the solar heat.
Poisoned by the new insecticide.
Live or die? That's what we must decide.
Why are we here? What is our aim?
Other civilisations ended the same.
the start was a trivial little affair
Which happened, though nobody can know where.
Most of my friends, they died yesterday
And six million others will die every day.
Who knows when I will be facing an end
Too horrible for you to comprehend?
